Biography:

Daryl Arnold was born in 1924.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Daryl Arnold was president of Western Growers. During that time, the association membership grew significantly. Arnold left the association to become U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, and David Moore was named WGA president in 1987.

Daryl Arnold become Ambassador to Singapore during the Reagan presidency. He held the title: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. He was appointed on Mar 27, 1987 and left his post on Jul 8, 1989.

He was married to Shirley Haymore, USC Class of 1946.

Obituary:

The couple died in a car accident Dec. 30, 1997, Palm Springs, Riverside County, CA. Their interment was somewhere in Orange County, CA.

His last residence before his death was Corona del Mar, CA 92829. This was noted on Jan 16, 1998.
