Second Lieutenant Jason Michael EHRET USMCR

Second Lieutenant Jason Michael Ehret is a native of Sacramento, California. He attended
Lincoln High in Stockton, California. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in
the United States Marine Corps in August 1990. He attended Boot Camp in San Diego,
California and Naval Avionics School in Memphis, Tennessee.
During his enlisted tour in the Marine Corps, Second Lieutenant Ehret was an Avionics
Technician on CH-53 helos with the Lucky Red Lions of HMH-363. He participated in
Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, where he was awarded the Air Medal. In June 1993, he
reported to the Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) program
in Newport, Rhode Island. He was accepted in the Marine Corps MECEP scholarship program
and received a Naval ROTC scholarship to attend University of Southern California. As a
valuable member of the Trojan Battalion, Second Lieutenant Ehret has held the billets of
Athletics Officer and Plans Officer. He graduates with a bachelor's degree in Exercise
Science.
Over the course of his Trojan career, Second Lieutenant Ehret has been selected as the
Motarboard National Honor Society's freshman of the year. He received his commission on
May 14, 1999, and will report to The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, and upon
completion to Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Florida for Naval Pilot Training.
