Biography:

LTJG Danny Cerezo grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He entered the Naval Service in August of 1990 as a Seaman Apprentice aboard the USS ESTOCIN (FFG-15) out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While there he was able to pick up an "A" school in Port Hueneme, California and became an Engineering Aid in the Seabees. He was subsequently stationed at CBU-421, then homeported in Mare Island, California. As EA3 Cerezo he was then selected for the Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training program, or BOOST, in Newport, Rhode Island. Having completed a full year at BOOST, LTJG Cerezo then attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture degree. After graduation, he was commissioned an ENSIGN in the Surface Warfare community and served his SWO tour as First Lieutenant aboard the USS ANTIETAM (CG-54) out of San Diego, California. Upon return from a deployment to the Persian Gulf, LTJG Cerezo attained a "Line To Staff" transfer and became part of the Civil Engineer Corps. He completed training at Civil Engineer Corps Officers School in Port Hueneme, CA in December 2002.

LTJG Cerezo reported to Atlantic Division in January 2003 where he serves as an Intern Architect in the CEC's Intern Architect Development Program.

LTJG Cerezo is currently in the process of taking the Architect Registration Exam, or ARE, in the hopes of getting licensed within a year. He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers as well as an associate member of the American Institute of Architects. His decorations include the Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Award, and National Defense Service Medal, 2 awards. LTJG Cerezo is Surface Warfare Officer qualified.
