The relationship of Robert and Estella is assumed as birthdates would be right to be James's children. There is also buried a Josie, dau. of J.W. and M.J. (assume Terrill) who d. 12 Oct 1875, no birthdate given. This is most probably the dtr. of James's son, John W., and I have entered her so. James could possibly be (#3374), son of James Terrill, as nothing is known of this one, and he was in Missouri. I have placed children under him who are shown with him on the 1850 Marion Co. MO census, or buried next to him. He is shown as b. Kty., age 32 on 1850 Marion Co. MO census. He could also be James # 4194, 4075, 4445 or 3656.

(or Estella C.) Terrill 1856-1935. Since there is a James H. Terrill (7 Aug 1813 to 24 Aug 1882) listed with wife Catherine (18 May 1818 to 17 Apr 1885) in same cemetery, it is most likely this one.

I received the information on this family from David Lott, 149 Lone Oak Rd., Longview, WA 98632-9541. He said that he was descended from this Mary Elizabeth, who was his great-great grandmother, all a maternal descent.

Peter TERRILL was born about 1778. He died in 1833/1834. Peter married Nancy HUTCHINSON on 12 Dec 1799.

My correspondent, David Lott gave this info on 12/97. He states that Peter is had brothers Dudley, William and John Pleasant. Dudley m. Polly Hutcherson on 27 Dec. 1801. William m. Mary Blakenship in 1816. John Pleasant m. a young widow Martha MOORMAN Keen, who was the dtr. of Achilles L. Moorman. Since no father of these brothers was given, I could not enter them directly and am not sure how they fit into my Terrill lineage system at this time. He will let me know if he finds this. He states that Peter's will was dated 26 March 1833 and probated on 10 May 1834. It named Achilles and his other children named were: Sally MARSHALL, Betsy HUTCHINSON and Mary Watts Terrill. I assume that some of these last names were from their husbands. His wife is also in his will. I found one other Moorman in my records. Zachariah MOORMAN, (4778) b. 3 Apr 1732, m. Elizabeth Ann Terrill, who was b. 7 Sep. 1738. She fits into my long line of Terrills. Perhaps these two Moormans are related somehow. Peter gave his son Achilles the middle name of MOORMAN, so it must have been felt important. Also, Archibald Terrill, (3177) b. abt 1760, m. Sarah HUTCHINSON. And, Marshalls include Lucy MARSHALL (3806), b. abt. 1785, m. Joel Terrill; Mary MARSHALL (2978) b. abt. 1855, m. John L. Terrill (2968), b. 11 May 1852.

May be the same Peter as #4438, Peter Higgins Terrill, son of Joel Terrill II and Anna Lewis.
