2Vee Dove, Madison County Homes, A Collection of Pre-Civil War Homes and Family Heritages, p. 160, Library of Congress Catalog Card Number: 75-28573. This is a large "coffee-table" style book with illustrations of homes on every page and a lot of genealogical information on Madison County, VA., published privately by the author, who resides in Madison County. Years ago, I visited her home and picked up one and it is a beautiful book, quite heavy and professionally bound.
