Frankford Yellow Jackets

Frankford Yellow Jacket Stadium in the late 1920s.  The 50 yard line was in the general area of Charles St. and Harbison Ave.  The Yellow Jackets played in the National Football League from 1924 to 1931.

The Yellow Jackets disbanded in the early 1930s, and the stadium became the site of a midget car raceway.  Eventually, the stadium was razed and the site became a popular place for circuses such as the World of Mirth Shows and the Endy Brother's Circus.
