The purpose of this database is to provide information for people researching the Woodworth surname and its variations. It is hoped this information will bring people together who have information to share and that new connections will be discovered.
Other surnames closely related to this branch of the Woodworth family, and represented here by data from family histories, are: Dow, Hayes, Henderson, McConnell, McCulley, McElhinney and Wiederrecht.

My original intent was to limit the data to descendants of the above families, their siblings and their spouses. To attempt to follow the ancestries of people who married in to the family would require far more time that I felt I could devote.
However, since many of my ancestors settled in New England in the 17th century, and since those families intermarried with so many other early New England families, I have expanded the scope to include early European settlers to North America. I will continue to add these early settlers, limiting that group, for the most part, to people who arrived in or were born in North America before 1700.
Additions and corrections are welcome.
