Due to the rising costs associated with collecting information for this website (i.e. gasoline, copy costs, membership fees, travel time, computer upgrades, etc.), and providing it to those who have a need for it, it has become necessary to institute a fee schedule for assistance beyond what I will normally post.

There will be be no charge if you request that I post a TYPED copy of an obituary for any burial in a cemetery that I have researched, provided that I have a copy of the obituary. If I incur costs associated with obtaining an obituary, per a request, then those costs/fees will be passed along to the person making the request. The person making the request can then choose a photocopy via USPS, or a scanned image via Email. In either case I will then post the obituary in the Cemetery where the burial took place. If you request a photocopy or scanned image of any obituary, even those that I have already posted, there is a charge of $5.00 PER obituary copy.

There will be no charge if I post a TYPED copy of an obituary which is listed on the Obituary Index I have created - provided you post this request on:

Ancestry's Message Board for Klickitat County

I will then post the obituary as a reply to your Query,
or post it within the Cemetery where the burial took place.
If you request a photocopy or scanned image,
there is a charge of $5.00 PER obituary copy.

If you Email me and request my assistance in obtaining an obituary, for a local Klickitat County resident NOT buried in a Cemetery I've researched, the charge is $5.00 per lookup. "Per Lookup" will include my searching any likely local* newspaper where the obituary might have appeared. This fee will include any photocopy costs and USPS postage. This fee requires that you provide a full death date and location, otherwise an additional $5.00 fee is requested.

* - many Eastern Klickitat County residents subscribed to Yakima Valley newspapers - i.e. Mabton, Sunnyside, Yakima. I do not have access to those newspapers, and in those cases I will refer you to another volunteer.

I'm sorry to begin charging for assistance. However, I pay others when I request assistance while doing my family's research, and life's other expenses now prevent me from continuing to offer Klickitat County research for free to everyone.

For those who do similar research to what my website offers, you know that I am not making a profit by charging these fees. They only somewhat offset my costs for providing assistance. I am trying to be as helpful as possible to those who really need assistance, yet still cover some of my expenses when doing so.
