Grand Dalles, Washington, is to have a brand-new paper. The building is being erected, and the editor is on hand loading his mind with the names of the streets and things of that kind, while he becomes familiar with the principal future features of his new field. Up to date he has found a box factory without machinery, a shoe factory with all its “innards” gone, a glass factory that has not sand enough to run, and a corset factory of about one manpower, the only factory that is running. The Grand Dalles is really in need of population, and we suggest to the genial proprietor of the town site, that he -- that -- he but pshaw! the town has more factories now than it can manage.
