Guler Hotel

Chris Guler built the Guler Hotel at Trout Lake in 1902-3, on the site of the Peter Stoller home. The Guler Hotel became a popular resort destination for many Portlanders. Besides the Hotel, Mr. Guler pitched tents along the creek for campers' use. Camping, mountain climbing, but especially the fishing was promoted in the advertisements. The Hotel was torn down in 1963.
