ADA ALFORD

    Ada Alford, age 66, post-mistress at Trout lake, died in a sanitarium in Portland July 1st. The body was taken to Trout Lake for burial, Additional details will follow next week.

ADA ALFORD

      Ada Marian Alford was born in Highland Park, Illinois on Aug. 15 1869. She died July 1st in Portland, Ore., at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 14 days. She came to Trout Lake with Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Cutting in 1910 with whom she lived since that time. She had also made her home with the Cuttings in the east for 20 years. She was Mrs. Cutting's niece.        Deceased leaves to mourn her loss besides the Cuttings, one sister, Mrs. William Regan and five nieces of Willmet, Illinois.
     Miss Alford had always taken a prominent part of community affairs, was a member of the Trout Lake Grange No. 210, and for many years was secretary of the Western Klickitat Pomona Grange. She was appointed post mistress of Trout Lake six years ago. She is greatly missed by the entire community.
