GRAVESIDE SERVICES FOR EX-RESIDENT
Funeral services for Mrs. Alma A. Sutherlin, 80, former
resident of White Salmon, were conducted in Stevensville, Montana Saturday,
Sept. 13 at the Whitsitt Chapel.
At 10 a.m. Sept. 15, the Rev. Oscar Olsen officiated
at graveside rites in the White Salmon Odd Fellows cemetery where Mr. Sutherlin
was buried in 1928.
Gardners funeral service was in charge of local arrangements
and the Methodist Rev. Oscar Olsen officiated.
Mrs. Sutherlin was born Dec. 6, 1877 at Fort Scott, Kansas
and was married to Albert L. Sutherlin in 1898 in Louisiana.
In 1906 they came to Victor in the Bitter Root valley
of Montana and later homesteaded in the West Fork country. In 1912 they moved
to Three Mile vicinity.
Mrs. Sutherlin died Thursday, Sept 11 at Hamilton,
Montana.
She is survived by four sons: Glen of Stevensville, Montana;
Earl of Portland, Oregon; Vern of San Francisco; and Calvin of Berkeley,
Calif.
And three daughters: Mrs. J.B. Newell of Grantsdale,
Mont.; Mrs. Cloise Vance of Sacramento, Calif; and Mrs. Lawrence Christopherson
of Covina, Calif.
Also, one brother, four half-brothers, three half-sisters,
several grand children and great-grandchildren.
