ANDREW SWAN DIES
Funeral services were held in Goldendale Tuesday afternoon
for Andrew F. Swan, 75, who died Friday, after a long illness. He had been
a patient at Simcoe Manor Nursing Home during the last year.
Mr. Swan, born at Clarkfield, Minn., January 5, 1890,
was the son of Charles and Mina Swan. He came west with his parents to Pleasant
Valley in 1900. He made his home there throughout his life until he moved
to Goldendale about five years ago.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; his wife,
Mayme; his son, Leo, and a sister, Lillie.
Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Mason, Goldendale;
son, Charlie Swan, Kennewick, and three sisters, Clara Radcliffe, Goldendale;
Emma Schuster, Raymond, and Alma Paulsen, Seattle; also by six grandchildren.
Holy rosary was held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church
Monday night at 8 p.m.. Requiem mass was said by Father Daniel Greene at
Holy Trinity Catholic Church Tuesday, September 21. Pallbearers were Victor
Gansuin, William Anderson, Gus Trumbo, Arlo Powers, William Hoctor and Gerald
Fenton.
