Mrs. Alice Hutchins of Dallesport, who died last week while on a trip to California to visit relatives, was well known to Lyle residents. She was a member of Columbia Grange No. 87, of the Lyle Woman's Club and of the WSCS of the Lyle United Methodist church. She did exquisite needlework and crocheting, often winning awards for the latter, and was also an excellent "whistler", always willing to entertain her many friends. She appeared as a whistler in last year's Talent Show, during the 1969 Pioneer Days Celebration. She is sorely missed and sincerely mourned here and throughout Klickitat county.
