ARTHUR B. MODIN
Arthur Bernhard Modin, 69, of Klickitat died November
17 at his home.
Mr. Modin was born July 19, 1910 at Sheyenne, N.D., a
son of Bernhard and Maria Modin. He moved to Klickitat in 1935. He married
Margaret "Peggy" Knopp Nov. 4, 1943.
He was an employee of J. Neils, now St. Regis Lumber
Co., for 33 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Surviving are his wife; three brothers, Verner Modin
of Anderson, Calif., Melvin Modin of Sheyenne, N.D., and Clarence Modin of
Milbank, S.D.; and a sister, Ann Modin of Alexandria, Minn.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services were Nov. 21 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church
with recitation of Rosary Nov. 20. Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery with
military rites by Louis Leidl American Legion Post No. 116.
Pallbearers were Aaron Bryan, Alvin Medford, Kenith Vogt,
Jack Schultz, Jerry Stevens and Clifford Westlund.
