ALICE C. BELL
Alice C. Bell, 98, of White Salmon and died Feb. 13 at
Mt. Adams Care Center in Goldendale. Funeral services were held Saturday,
Feb. 17, at the Gardner Funeral Home. Pastor was Rev. Arthur Dickie.
She was born Nov. 12, 1891, in Bardstown, Ky., to Augusta
and Samuel Crume. She was raised there and married Hugh T. Bell Jan. 24,
1920.
The couple moved to White Salmon in 1948, where Mr. Bell
worked as a lineman for the Public Utility District here until his retirement.
Mrs. Bell was a homemaker.
Mrs. Bell was a member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed
playing bridge, gardening and playing the piano.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, who died
Feb. 1, 1966, and her daughter, Minnie Wood Bell Dennis, who died Oct. 21,
1975.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Moore of Bardstown,
Ky.; three grandchildren, Sherry Stracker of Seattle, Donny Dennis of California,
and David Dennis of Bingen; and six great-grand children.
Committal was at White Salmon Cemetery.
