MRS. AUGUSTA CUTTING
Mrs. Augusta Cutting died at the Mount hospital in Oregon
City, Nov. 17, 1931. She was born in the state of New York in 1856. In 1878
she moved to South Hadley Falls, Mass. She there met and married Mr. C.M.
Cutting.
They moved to Illinois in 1889 then on to Washington
in 1900 and to Trout Lake in August 1910.
Mrs. Cutting was a member of the Methodist Church and
active in the work of the Trout Lake Presbyterian church. She was active
in all community activities and especially in the Grange, Ladies Aid and
Eastern Star in Illinois and was a charter member of the chapter in Trout
Lake. Mrs. Cutting was the first Matron of this order here and served for
several years in that office.
Mr. & Mrs. Cutting celebrated their Golden Wedding
anniversary three years ago in Sept. For the past forty years Miss Ada Alford
has made her home with them. Mrs. Cutting will be missed.
