ANNA C. LENOIR
Anna C. Lenoir was born August 25, 1892 in Hungary, then
a part of the Austria-Hungarian empire. At the age of 14 she emigrated to
Canada, where she was united in marriage to Alphonse Lenoir October 18,1920.
She had lived in Goldendale from 1938 until the death of her husband two
months ago; since then she had resided in Vancouver. She died at Vancouver
Memorial Hospital December 21, 1971.
Survivors include three sons, Victor of Vancouver, Charles
of Goldendale and Joseph of Vancouver; five daughters, Marguerite Olwell,
Sioux City, Ia.; Yvonne Wentworth, Minneapolis; Louise Sutherland, Vancouver;
Joan Peasley, Stanwood, Wa., and Bernadette Peasley, Anchorage, Ak. Also
two brothers; Joseph Weiss, Humbolt; Sask. and John Weiss, Pilger, Sask.;
one sister, Elizabeth Smith of Lewistown, Mt.; 28 grandchildren and 27
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Goldendale Tuesday, December
28, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fr. John Heneghan officiating, with
interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandchildren Jack and
Gary Peasley; Jerry, Joe and Steve Lenior and Mike Sutherland.
