ALMA C. STAACK

     Glenwood native Alma C. Staack, 90, died Sunday, Oct. 15, in Hood River. Graveside services are scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 21, at Mt. Adams Cemetery in Glenwood, beginning at 11 a.m.
     Mrs. Staack was born August 22, 1899, in Glenwood to Clara (Kuhnhausen) and Vinzens Borde. She was raised in Glenwood and graduated from high school there.
     June 26, 1918, he married Perda E. Staack in Glenwood. The couple ranched for several years. He died Nov. 22, 1959. Mrs. Staack remained in Glenwood the rest of her life.
     She enjoyed cooking, baking and her grandchildren. She loved to entertain.
     Mrs. Staack is survived by children Delmer Staack of Glenwood and Lois Jemtegaard of Mt. Pleasant, Wash., sister Melitia Kamph of Brookings, Ore., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     Contributions in Mrs. Staack's name may be given to the Glenwood Cemetery Association.

     Graveside services are this Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. for Alma C. Staack of Glenwood, who passed away Oct. 15, 1990 in Hood River at the age of 90.
     Interment will be in Mt. Adams Cemetery, Glenwood.
     Alma Staack was born Aug. 22, 1899 in Glenwood to Clara (Kuhnhausen) and Vinzens Borde. She grew up in that community, graduated from high school there, and married Perda E. Staack in Glenwood on June 26, 1918. They ranched there for several years.
     Mr. Staack died Nov. 22, 1959, and Alma Staack spent the rest of her life in Glenwood; she enjoyed cooking, baking entertaining, and being with her grandchildren.
     She is survived by two children, Delmer Staack of Glenwood, and Lois Jemtegaard of Mt. Pleasant, Wash., a sister, Melitia Kamph, Brookings, Ore.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     Memorial contributions may be given to the Glenwood Cemetery Association.
     Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon had charge of arrangements.
