ALONZO YARNELL
Alonzo C. "Lon" Yarnell, a life-long resident of the
White Salmon area, died Monday at the age of 71.
He was born April 26, 1909, in White Salmon to Mr. and
Mrs. Lemuel Yarnell. He was self-employed as a mechanic and also belonged
to the Mountain View Grange.
He is survived by his wife Neva, White Salmon; his parents,
White Salmon; one son, Rodger, White Salmon; two daughters, Loneta Cornwell,
Hesperia, Calif., and Shellie Bernor, Hawthorne, Calif.; four brothers, Don,
Ray, Leonard and Pete, all of White Salmon; five sisters, Mildred Dickey,
Dorothy Abken and Mary Jane Arnold, all of White Salmon, Iva Rogers, Portland,
and Berniece Wright, Alaska; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:30
p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the White Salmon cemetery.
Contributions in Mr. Yarnell's name may be made to the Heart Fund.
