CORONARY TAKES ART ZIMMERMAN
Art Zimmerman, 70, Snowden route, died sitting in a chair
in his home six miles NE of White Salmon last Monday, Feb. 9. His death was
discovered after school by his son Jimmy. Death was due to heart disease
from which he has been ailing for several years.
Mrs. Zimmerman has been in a Seattle hospital recovering
from a broken knee. She returned home immediately on receiving news of her
husband's death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday,
Feb. 14 at Gardner's Funeral home. Rev. Oscar Olsen will officiate. Burial
will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
Arthur Chesley Zimmerman was born December 17, 1888 in
Missouri. He was the son of Sylvia and Michael Zimmerman and has been a resident
of Klickitat County since he was two years old.
Survivors include his wife Bessie and two sons, Thomas
of Lyle and James Edwin of White Salmon; daughters, Sara Jane Smith of Hood
River and Margaret Gump of St. Helens, Oregon.
Also two sisters, Goldie Thompson of Tacoma and Mrs.
Clint (Etta) Conklin of Lyle; brother Vern Zimmerman of White Salmon and
four grandchildren.

SERVICE TO BE SATURDAY FOR ZIMMERMAN
Arthur Chesley Zimmerman was born Dec. 17th, 1888 in
Missouri, the son of Sylvia and Michael Zimmerman. He had been a resident
of Klickitat County since he was two years of age.
Survivors are: wife, Bessie Zimmerman of White Salmon,
and two sons: Thomas Zimmerman of Lyle, Wn., James Edwin Zimmerman of White
Salmon.
Two daughters: Sarah Jane Smith of Hood River, Oregon,
Margaret Rebecca Gump of St. Helens, Oregon.
Two sisters: Goldie Thompson of Tacoma, Wn., Etta Conklin
of Lyle, Washington.
Brother: Vern Zimmerman of White Salmon, four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:30 p.m., Feb. 14th
at Gardner's Funeral Home. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery, White
Salmon. Rev. Oscar Olson will officiate.
