FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR SPRING CREEK PIONEER
Funeral services for Annie Elizabeth Bullack, 71, pioneer
resident of the Spring Creek community, were held here Monday. Mrs. Bullack
died May 9 in Portland where she had made her home since 1921.
She was born in Renick, Mo., Feb. 17, 1869, and came
to Goldendale in 1879. She made her home in Spring Creek until 1897 when
she moved to Goldendale. She married Wilson T. Bullack in 1888.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Merle Chapman,
of Yakima; and Mrs. A.K. Bishop, of Troutdale, Ore. Mr. Bullack died in 1892.
Three sisters, Mrs. Otie Bullack, of Gridley, Calif.; Mrs. George H. Darland,
of Gridley; and Mrs. Charles Mesecher, of Goldendale, one brother, William
Hale, of Gridley, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild and a number
of nephews and nieces also survive.
Funeral services were held in Portland Monday morning
with Dr. Albert G. Johnson, pastor of Hinson Memorial church, of Portland,
conducting the services. Mrs. Bullack was a member of that church. Services
were held at the Phillips chapel in Goldendale Monday afternoon with Rev.
John Magoon, pastor of the Gresham, Ore., Baptist church officiating. Interment
was at the Spring Creek cemetery.
