PIONEER WOMAN PASSES AWAY

     Mrs. George Thomas, aged 74 years, passed away Sunday night, July 9, at the West Klickitat hospital.
     Alice Elizabeth Thomas was born in Washington county, Virginia, on November 10, 1868. She came to White Salmon 54 years ago and was one of the best known pioneer residents of the town.
     Funeral services were held at 10:30 A.M. at the Methodist Church, Rev. Gallaher officiating. Interment was in the Odd Fellows cemetery.
