SERVICES HELD FOR LYLE WOMAN
Services were held Wednesday at the Lyle Community church
for Alvia Hanna Bradford, with the Rev. E. Ernest Taylor of The Dalles
officiating.
She passed away January 25 at Klickitat Valley hospital
in Goldendale. She had lived at Lyle all of her life, and was a charter member
of the Lyle Grange. She was born on October 24, 1877 at Platte county, Missouri.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Staack
of The Dalles; one son, Frank O. Bradford of Lyle. Two sisters also survive,
they are: Mary McNaughton and Tamara Andrews; five grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren. Interment was at the Lyle cemetery.

Lyle (special) Funeral services for Mrs. George (Alvia
Hanna) Bradford, 80, of Lyle were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, in the
Lyle Community church.
The Rev. E. Ernest Taylor of The Dalles, Oregon officiated.
Mrs. Dorothy Brashers sang "End of a Perfect Day" and "Someday He Will Make
It Plain".
Gardners Funeral Service were in charge of arrangements.
Burial was in Balch cemetery near Lyle. Pall bearers were: Fay McNabb, W.H.
Brashers, C.O. Ensley, L.H. McNabb, J.A. Curl, Marshall Hamm; (honorary)
Homer James, E.H. Struck, Herb Crosskill, Byrd Clark, R.F. Niblock and O.W.
Ensley.
Mrs. Bradford was born Oct. 27, 1877 in Platt County,
Missouri. She died Saturday, January 25 in Klickitat Valley Hospital, Goldendale.
Death was the aftermath of a fall. Mrs. bradford is survived by her daughter,
Mrs. Mildred Staack of The Dalles, Oregon; son, Frank O. Bradford of Lyle;
sisters, Mary McNaughton and Tamara Andrews; five grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren.
Her husband George died in 1942.
