RITES HELD ON SATURDAY FOR ARCHIE DELAY

     Archie Henry DeLay was born in November 23rd, 1907 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, the son of Effie and John DeLay. He had lived in this community since 1922 and had worked as a log truck driver much of that time.
     He passed away on June 14th at the age of 64 years. Surviving are his wife, Alma Chubb DeLay of rural White Salmon; a son, Archie H. DeLay, Jr., of Portland, Oregon; a step-son: Terry Chubb of White Salmon; a step-daughter: Anita of Portland, Oregon
     There are five grandchildren and also a sister, Frances of Tacoma.
     Funeral services were held Saturday, June 17th, 11 a.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home with Rev. Homer Coulson of Goldendale officiating. Interment was at White Salmon.
