ALVIN H. LERMO

     Memorial services for Alvin Howard Lermo of White Salmon who died last Wednesday will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23 at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon. He was 81.
     Services will also be held for his wife, Eizabeth Lermo, who died in December. Cremation will follow at Klickitat County Cemetery in White Salmon.
     Mr. Lermo was born Dec. 14, 1911 in Decorah, Iowa. He married Elizabeth Toomey in 1935 in Hood River. In 1976, he retired from Safeway as their meat cutter.
     Mr. Lermo was the past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge1868 in White Salmon former fire chief and also served on the city council. While in White Salmon, he owned the Central Food Market from 1938-1960. He was preceded in death by his wife died in December.
     He is survived by his daughters, Bette Ann Caldwell of Gladstone, and Sue Arm Weir of Portland; brother, Corydon S. Lermo of Bend; sister, Bonnie Williamson of Seattle; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
