OBITUARY
Alice Irene Loe was born in Mercer county, Missouri,
January 3rd, 1868, and was united in marriage with Manuel Ellsworth in October
1893. To this union eight children were born, four sons and four daughters.
She united with the Church of Christ more than thirty
years ago and always clung to that faith.
In April 1902, she with her husband and family, moved
to Klickitat county, Washington where she resided until the past few months,
which were spent in Vancouver, Wash., where the final summons came on August
8th, 1927, at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 5 days.
The deceased leaves the following children: Mrs. Ada
Clary, of Blockhouse; Mrs. Mary Endicott of Vancouver; Mrs. Doris Henderson;
Kelly, Jake, Ray, Ronald and Lois Ellsworth of Maryhill; three step-children,
Willard Ellsworth of New York City; Mrs. Earl Jackson and Mrs. Harland Wilson
of Goldendale; twelve grandchildren; a brother Kelley Loe of Portland, and
one sister, Mrs. Izora Glover of Pratt, Kansas.
The husband preceded her in death 13 years ago.

MRS. ALICE ELLSWORTH, RESIDENT SINCE 1902, DIES
The funeral of the late Mrs. Alice Ellsworth, of Vancouver,
was held on Thursday, August 11th, 1927, at 2:30 o'clock p.m., from the Snively
Funeral Home, with interment in the Spring Creek cemetery.
Her husband passed away several years ago, at which time
and they were residents of this section of Klickitat. He was buried in the
cemetery at Spring Creek, and she desired to be placed by his side.
Alice Irene Loe was born in Mercer county, Mo., Jan.

grandchildren; and one brother, Kelley Loe, now of Portland, Oregon, and
one sister, Mrs. Izora Slover, of Pratt, Kansas.
The husband preceded her in death thirteen years ago.
(Kelley Loe, a brother of the late Mrs. Ellsworth, was well known here along about 1900 when he conducted a newspaper at Centerville called the Leader. Later, after the federal printing was completed, it was discontinued. Mr. Loe then moved to Portland, taking charge of a farm journal, which he still publishes.)
