JETER

     Mr. Andrew J. Jeter, 78, Goldendale, died Tuesday, Oct. 26 at his home. He was born May 14, 1904 in Crane Station, Kansas to George M. and Florence Jeter.
     The family moved to Blaine, Wn., when Andrew was 2 years old. They later moved to Forks, Wn., where Andrew attended school. He came to Klickitat County in 1917 where he homesteaded and married Naomi Cole in Mabel, Ore., Sept. 29, 1933. They continued farming until retiring in 1955, moving into Goldendale in 1956.
     Survivors include his wife, Naomi, Goldendale; four sons; Lewis Le Roy Jeter, Pierce, Idaho; Jacques Jeter, Santa Monica, Ca.; Maurace Jeter, Clearlake Highlands, Ca., and Carl Lavern Jeter, Lewiston, Idaho; three daughters, Mrs. Dorine Bundy, Bakersfield, Ca; Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Niemela, Goldendale, and Mrs. Kenneth (Pat) Arbo, Woodbridge, Wa.; one brother, George H. Jeter, Olympia and one sister, Mrs. Irene Hart, Carpenteria, Ca.; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.
     Graveside services were held Friday, Oct. 29 in the Centerville Cemetery with the Rev. Herbert Evans of the First Baptist Church in Goldendale officiating. Pallbearers included Harlan Carr, Jay Creighton, Loren Storkel, Delbert Beckstrand, Robert Rising and Robert Lee. Interment followed under the direction of Knosher Funeral Home.
     The family suggests memorials be made to the Heart Fund.
