AMIL KUNZ DIES AT GOOSE LAKE

     Funeral services for Amil Joseph Kunz, 74, resident of Underwood for 39 years, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Gardner's Chapel, White Salmon.
     Mr. Kunz was born January 24, 1889 in Nema, Washington where he received his early schooling. Later the family moved into Laurel where he helped with the farm.
     He was employed by Wyers Stage Co. of White Salmon for a number of years. Later he became a shovel operator and worked on many highways in both Oregon and Washington.
     He has worked for Broughton Lumber Co. of Willard for the past 16 years. Death from a heart attack occurred while he was working at Goose Lake on Monday morning, June 17.
     He is survived by his widow Blanche A. Kunz of Underwood; a daughter Virginia in California; brother, Martin Kunz of Portland, Ore.; sister, Violet Herron of North Hollywood, Calif.; and stepdaughter, Mrs. Lyola Houston of Underwood.
     Casket bearers will be Bud, Frank, Robert, Larry, Clyde and Jack Morby.

CHURCH WORK MOVES ALONG; KUNZ DIED OF HEART ATTACK

     Mr. Amil Kunz of Underwood died Monday morning of a heart attack. He was an employee of Broughton Lumber Co. of Willard for several years. He died in the woods while at work.

     Funeral services for Amil Joseph Kunz, resident of Underwood, Washington for 39 years, will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m., June 22nd, at Gardner's Funeral Home, White Salmon.
     Mr. Kunz was born January 24, 1889 in Nema, Washington where he received his early schooling. Later the family moved into Laurel, Washington where he helped with the farming. For a number of years he was employed by the Wyers Stage Co.
      Later he became a shovel operator and worked on many highways both in Oregon and Washington. For the past 16 years he has been employed by the Broughton Lumber Co. of Willard, Wash.
     Mr. Kunz passed away June 17th while working at Goose Lake in Skamania County.
     He leaves his wife, Blanche A. Kunz of Underwood; a daughter, Virginia living in California; a brother, Martin Kunz of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Violet Herron of North Hollywood, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lyola Houston of Underwood, Wash.
     Casket bearers will be: Bud Morby, Larry Morby, Frank Morby, Clyde Morby, Robert Morby, and Jack Morby.
