FUNERAL RITES FOR ALBERT NIVA HERE SATURDAY
Albert Niva, 52, former Centerville merchant and for
the past several years a resident of this city, died at his home here Wednesday
morning. Mr. Niva had been in poor health since 1936 when he suffered a stroke.
Funeral services for Mr. Niva will be held from the Phillips
chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. C.J. Hall, pastor of the Methodist
church will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Centerville Grange
cemetery.
Mr. Niva was born at Centerville Oct. 3, 1888 and had
lived in this county all his life except for his time in the Army during
the World War. He was a member of the Louis Leidl Post of the American Legion,
the Masons and the Knights of Ptyhias.
Survivors include the widow, Bess Niva, two brothers,
William and Levi, both of Centerville; and one sister, Mrs. Ed Graham of
Washtucna, Wash.
