A. LUCILLE BAUER
A. Lucille Bauer, 79, a long-time Trout Lake resident,
died Thursday, May 4, at the Hood River Care Center. Funeral services were
held Monday, May 8, at the Presbyterian Church in Trout Lake. Rev. Jack Randall
officiated.
Mrs. Bauer was born March 3, 1910, in Hurricane, Ill.,
to Minnie (Hill) and Edwin Pope.
She grew up in Illinois, and married Edwin Bauer there.
The couple moved west in 1938, and settled in Trout Lake in 1945. She was
preceded in death by her husband in 1974.
Mrs. Bauer worked for the Forest Service as a senior
citizen for a number of years. She was a member of the Trout Lake Presbyterian
Church and the American Legion Auxiliary since 1945. She enjoyed reading
and visiting friends.
She is survived by daughter Luella Holtmann of Trout
Lake, brother Kenneth Pope of Pana, Ill., brothers in law Floyd Bauer and
Ted Bauer, both of Irving, Ill. Two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Committal was at Trout Lake Cemetery.
