ANNA CLAPP
On June 13, 2003, Anna Lee Deniston Clapp died at home
in Bend, Ore.
She was born in Needmore, Okla., on Jan. 14, 1908, to
Martha Adeline (Lunsford) and General Merideth Deniston. She was a longtime
resident of the Columbia River Gorge.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Clapp
in 1969, son Norman Clapp in 1979, son Dennis Clapp in 1939, brother Dewey
Deniston, and sisters Audrey Koski, Rose Gideon and Ethel Fermstead.
Mrs. Clapp is survived by daughters Darlene Winch, Bend,
Ore., and Judy Corey, Carson; sister Irene Tallman, Kelso; grandchildren
Chris Wandel, Cherrol Minshall, Clifford Hollis, Kim Hollis, Teresia Kirk,
Steven Hollis, Toni Drey, Troy Seaman, Tallen Seaman and Terra Gallagher;
24 great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren; and many extended
family members.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, June 21, 2003,
at 3 p.m. at the White Salmon Cemetery, with Gardner Funeral Home handling
arrangements.
