AUDREY (SMITH) HANSEN
Audrey (Smith) Hansen, 83, of Goldendale, died March
29, 2001 in Goldendale.
She was born Nov. 30, 1917 to Milton and Vera (Mains)
Smith in Bickleton. After graduation from high school, Audrey married Thorvald
(Tim) Hansen in 1939.
The family lived at Lyle until moving to Centerville
in1951, where they owned and operated the Centerville Store. The family later
moved to Goldendale. Audrey also worked for many years as a sales clerk for
various businesses.
Audrey was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, playing cards, crocheting
and knitting and being involved in many community activities. She was a member
of the Good Sam Club, Centerville Grange, Neighbors of Woodcraft, Rebekah
Lodge, The Old Time Fiddlers and the Methodist Church.
Her husband, Tim; one son, Biill, and a daughter, Jean
Shupe, preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Ilene Turkovich,
of Olympia and Jan Bommersbach, of Goldendale; nine grandchildren and eight
great-grand-children.
Graveside services were held April 2 at the Centerville
Cemetery with Pastor Ken Akins officiating. Arrangements are under the care
of Erdman Funeral Home.
