     Annie Lenora Hewett, born Nov. 18, 1889 in Wheeler, Wa., died Mar. 14 at The Dalles General Hospital.
     A resident of Lyle for 30 years, she worked in the fruit packing industry. Her last employment was at Van Horn Packing plant in Pine Grove, Or. She was a member of Columbia Grange #87 of Lyle and the Lyle Woman's Club.
     She is survived by: her husband, Frank H. of Lyle; one son, Glen Grandstaff of Houston, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, James Thompson of Redmond, Or. and Bud Thompson of Portland; 5 sisters, Aileen McKay of Eddyville, Or., Mary Betts of Victoria, B.C., Mildred Friberg of Vancouver, Wa., Olive Fine of Phoenix, Az. and Inez Thompson of Fair Oaks, Ca.
     Services will be held today, Mar. 18, at Gardner's Funeral home in white Salmon at 10:30 a.m. with interment at Balch Cemetery in Lyle. Rev. James Doak of the United Methodist Church of Lyle and Stevenson will officiate.
