ALVARO LUJANO
A funeral mass was held for Alvaro Lujano on Tuesday,
May 1, 2001, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hood River. Mr.
Lujano died on April 28, 2001, at his home in White Salmon, at the age of
44.
Mr. Lujano was born in Guadalalara, Mexico, on March
4, 1957, to Jose and Dolores (Martinez) Lujano. He moved to the Hood River
Valley at the age of 18 and worked in the fruit industry and at Luhr Jensen.
In 1989, he married Martha Sanchez in Hood River.
Mr. Lujano loved to play soccer and enjoyed family gatherings
and fishing.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a very
compassionate man, who loved the Bible and preaching. Mr. Lujano counseled
many people and traveled around Oregon and Washington with his family,
ministering with signing and preaching.
He is survived by his mother Dolores Lujano, Hood River;
wife Martha Lujano and daughter Martha Trejo, both of White Salmon; brothers
Juan of Hood River, Miguel, Luis and Arturo, all of White Salmon; sisters
Martina Sandoval and Vina Lujano, Los Angeles, Calif., Maria Nuno, Hood River,
Teresa Lujano, White Salmon, and Guille and Alicia Lulano, Tijuana, Mexico.
Burial was at the White Salmon Cemetery on May 1.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home.
