AGATHA GOODRICH
Agatha Goodrich, a long time resident of Klickitat County
in the Lyle and White Salmon areas, died at The Dalles General Hospital October
28, 1973. She was born to Mattie E. and Daniel Walter Brashers in Marionville,
Mo., December 15, 1904.
Surviving are her husband, Lester L. Goodrich, White
Salmon; two daughters, Arlene Mccoy of White Salmon and Thelma Jean Downing
of Walla Walla; one son, Norman L. Goodrich, U.S. Navy, San Diego, Cal.;
mother, Mrs. Mattie Ray and brothers, William H. and Claude Brashers, all
of Lyle; one sister, Gladys Armington, Hollywood, Cal., and 13 grandchildren
and two great grandchildren.
Following the October 30 graveside services at the White
Salmon Cemetery with the Rev. Homer Coulson officiating, the family gathered
at the Brashers Brothers ranch at Lyle and included: Mrs. Mattie Ray, Lester
L. Goodrich, Arlene McCoy and children, Lisa, Earl, and Connie, Mr. and Mrs.
Les Downing and children, Mark, Claudia, Diane French and Teresa Smith, Mr.
and Mrs. Norman Goodrich, Mr. Goodrich's sisters: Myrtle and Fern, niece
Janet of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Brashers, Claude Brashers, Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Brashers, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Brashers, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brashers,
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brashers and Gladys Armington.
Mr. Goodrich's brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil
Morris had to return immediately to Portland after the services because of
the illness of their daughter.
