AUDREY HANSEN
Trout Lake resident Audrey Mae Hansen died Easter Sunday,
April 20, 2003, at the home of her son. She was 95 years old.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints White Salmon ward chapel on Saturday, April 26,
2002, at 11:30 a.m.
Mrs. Hansen was born July 25, 1907, in Fresno, Calif.,
to Oscar Cole and Gertrude Cabot Cole. She was the second of three girls.
She was raised and educated in California.
She married Fred Thorkill Hansen on May 16, 1936, in
Oakland, Calif. They had two children. She was a devoted mother. She loved
people and liked to spend time visiting and entertaining others. She served
as an executive secretary in a regional office of the General Electric Company
until her retirement at the age of 62.
Her hobbies were gardening and raising and showing
championship dogs under the kennel name "Highiandell."
Mrs. Hansen moved to Trout Lake and established a home
alongside her son in 1985. She moved in with her son in 1991 for additional
care and comfort until her passing.
Mrs. Hansen is survived by her son Fred, Trout Lake;
daughter Barbara Hansen Childs; sister Nadine Ruth, Pacifica, Calif.;
grandchildren Loretta, Sheryl, Eric, Cory, Kristi and Michael; and 15 and
a half great-grandchildren.
Internment will be at the Trout Lake Cemetery following
the funeral.
