ADELINE MUNROE RANDALL
Adeline Munroe Randall was born June 9, 1893 and came
to the Goldendale area as a small child with her widowed mother, Emma Munroe
and her two other two small daughters. They lived in the Goldendale area
for a short time and Mrs. Munroe and her brother John Rowns took up a homestead
in the Happy Home area. It was here that Adeline grew to womanhood and met
and married Alex Randall. Together they made their home on this same farm
until Alex died April 19, 1970. Mrs. Randall's death occurred October 8,
1972.
In November, 1970 Adeline moved from the farm to Centerville
where she lived until April 11 when she was stricken with her final illness.
Survivors are: daughter Doris Kruse of Vancouver, Wa.; son, Alvin of Centerville;
sister, Velma Richardson of Boring, Or.; six grandchildren, eight great-grand
children, two nieces and two nephews.
Adeline joined the little Methodist church that used
to be in Horseshoe Bend when a small girl. She was a member of the Neighbors
of Woodcraft and Centerville Grange.
Services were held Wednesday at Knosher Funeral Home
with the Rev. Ray Hilman officiating. Active pallbearers were Arnold Hoikka,
Larry Kayser, Glen "Pete" Smith, Ronald Niva, Merle Wiidanen and Jack Tobin.
Honorary pallbearers were John Harju, Audomar Hedler, Otis Mattson, Reiner
Rein, Ted Carratt and Henry Miller. Interment was in the Centerville Cemetery.

ADELINE RANDALL DIES; WAS COUNTY PIONEER
Adeline Randall, 79, died here Sunday following a lengthy illness. She was a county pioneer, having lived here since early childhood, both in the Happy Home and Centerville areas. Her husband, who preceded her in death in 1970, was a correspondent for the Sentinel from Happy Home for many years. Mrs. Randall was the mother of Alvin of Centerville and Doris Kruse of Vancouver.
