MRS. CON. YEACKEL
Mrs. Amelia Heitz Yeackel was born in Rochester, N.Y.,
June 4, 1854. Died at her home in Goldendale, Washington, December 21st,
1919. The funeral services were held in Centerville, Wednesday, December
24th, in the afternoon, and was attended by a large, concourse of people.
Mrs. Yeackel was well known in that community, being one of the pioneer
residents.
On March 30, 1872, she was united in marriage with Conrad
B. Yeackel, in Swift county, Minnesota, and were the first couple to be married
in that county. In the fall of 1877 they came to Klickitat county, Washington,
and took up they homestead in the Centerville section, where they continued
to reside until about ten years ago, when they moved to Goldendale.
Beside her husband, she leaves eight children; Henry
Yeackel, The Dalles, Oregon; Mrs. Emma Crocker, Goldendale, Wash.; Charles
Yeackel, Centerville, Wash.; Mrs. Lucy Marquis, Centerville; Fred Yeackel,
Centerville; Mrs. Nellie Nesbitt, Goldendale; Joseph Yeackel and Mrs. Mabel
Allen of Centerville. Also three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Henry Kitz,
Mrs. Theresa Lichtenberger and Joseph Heitz, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and Mrs.
Lizzie Werech of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She was a very estimable lady and her many friends regret
to learn of her death.

MRS. CON B. YEACKEL
The mother of Mrs. Jacob Crocker, Mrs. Con Yeackel, died
at her home in this city early this week. The funeral services were held
at Centerville Wednesday afternoon, and was attended by a large concourse
of people. Mrs. Yeackel was well known in that community, being one of the
pioneer residents. She was a very estimable lady, and her many friends regret
to learn of her death.
Amelia Heitz was married to Conrad B. Yeackel on March
30, 1872. Eight children were born to them: Henry, Mrs. Emma Crocker, Charles,
Lizzie, Fred, Nellie, Joseph, and Mabel.
Mr. and Mrs. Yeackel were married in Swift county, Minnesota,
and were the first couple to be married in that county. In the fall of 1877
they came to Klickitat county, and took up a homestead in the Centerville
section, where they continued to reside for the future.
