WELL-KNOWN RESIDENT OF BINGEN CALLED
Mrs. Anna Carstens, a well known resident of Bingen,
passed away at the home of her brother at the age of 48 years and 11 months,
on Sunday, December 28th. She was born in February, 1876, and went to New
York in 1879. From there she moved to Gilmer, this county, with her parents
where she spent most of her life. She moved to Bingen in 1909 where she since
had made her home with her brother, C.E. Carstens.
The funeral services were held Wednesday in the Bingen
Church, conducted by Rev. W. Edward King. The remains were laid to rest in
the Odd Fellows cemetery.
Deceased leaves to mourn her loss, three sisters - Mrs.
Theodore Sucksdorf of the Bingen, Mrs. Gilbert of Portland and Mrs. Staack
of Laurel, and one brother, C.E. Carstens, of Bingen.
