     DEATH OF MRS. WHITCOMB - Mrs. Ann Whitcomb, aged 75 years, died at Lyle Feb. 6. Her two sons were sick in bed with the measles at the time of her death.

"Brief Local Matters"

     Mrs. Ann Whitcomb, aged 75 years, died at Lyle February 6, and was buried at that place last Friday. Rev. J.L. Hershner officiating and J.D. Nichols had charge of the funeral arrangements. Her two sons were sick in bed with measles at the time of her death, which made the occasion all the more sad.

DEATH OF PARALYSIS

     Mrs. Ann Whitcomb, living a few miles north of Lyle, Washington, died February 6th, of paralysis. She was about 74 years of age, and leaves two sons, both of whom were ill and confined to their beds with the measles at the time of her death.  She was buried at Lyle cemetery, Reverend J. L. Hershner officiating.  Undertaker Nichols, of Hood River, had charge as director of the funeral.
