Anna League was born on July 20, 1875 at Sedalia, Missouri
and passed away in Goldendale on December 5, 1633 at the age of 88 years,
4 months and 15 days.
When just a young girl she moved to the Ione, Ore., area
where she lived many years. It was at Ione she was united in marriage to
Thomas Dean and to this union 5 children were born, two of whom survive.
Mr. Dean preceded her in death in 1933. On August 23, 1950 she was married
to James Slutz of Goldendale and lived the balance of her life here.
She became a Christian when she was a young woman, was
a member of the First Baptist Church in Goldendale all of the years she lived
in Goldendale.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her husband,
James; a son, Mr. Hazel Dean of Klamath Falls, Oregon; a daughter, Mrs. Effie
Gerking of Rainier, Oregon; one step son, James Slutz of Wishram Heights,
Wash.; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
(Anna died as Mrs. Slutz, but is buried beside her 1st husband, Thomas Dean.)
