A.R. MILLER PASSES AWAY
Alexander Miller, a well-known resident of the Mt. Brook district, passed away
at the family home on Monday. He was born April 7, 1856 at Dundee, Scotland,
and while he lived in that country was a member of the Free Church of Scotland.
In 1880 he came to America, landing in New York, then moving west to San
Francisco, and on to Portland, Oregon. In 1882 he came to Klickitat county and
homesteaded a place on the Mountain Brook district, northeast of White Salmon
where he has since resided. He was married on November 18, 1891 to Martha Wood
of White Salmon.
Deceased leaves his widow and three sons, Cecil, Sidney
and William Miller.
The entire community mourns the death of Mr. Miller,
who during his lifetime has been a kind neighbor and one of the most influential
citizens of this section of the county. The many friends and extend their
sympathy to the bereaved family.
