AGNES SOPHIA DAPKUS

     Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday at the local Catholic church for Mrs. Agnes Sophia Dapkus, of Glenwood, who passed away at the Hood River hospital Tuesday at the age of 61 years. Burial will be in the Glenwood cemetery.

AGNES MAYER DAPKUS LAID TO REST IN GLENWOOD

     Funeral services were held April 21 with mass at St. Joseph's Catholic church for Mrs. Agnes Mayer Dapkus, who passed away at the Hood River hospital on April 18th. Interment was in the Glenwood cemetery.
     Agnes Mayer Dapkus was born April 14, 1881 in Fredek, Austria. She was married July 3, 1905 in Racine, Wisconsin, and from there moved to Libby, Montana. In 1935 they came to Glenwood where she lived until her death. She was a faithful member of the Catholic church.
     Survivors include her husband, Casimir Dapkus, of Glenwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Crowe; son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. August Dapkus, and three grandsons, and one granddaughter, Richard, Austin and Eileen Crowe and David Dapkus.

"Glenwood News"

     Mrs. Agnes Sophia Dapkus has a sudden stroke Tuesday and passed away that evening at the Hood River hospital, where she was taken by the Gardner ambulance. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in White Salmon, Saturday, April 21 at 10:00 a.m. and burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery with graveside services here. She was 61 years old and had been a semi-invalid for several years. Her husband, daughter, Mrs. Mary Crowe, and son, August, survive, besides several grandchildren. The community extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
