ADAH URSULA GOOD

     Adah Ursula Good, daughter of Alice Holland and William Banks, was born April 14, 1877 near Lavonia, Indiana, and passed away on April 15, 1958 in McMinnville, Oregon, at age 81 years and 1 day.
     In 1895 she and her parents moved to Crawfordville, Indiana where she lived until her marriage to George E. Good on May 14, 1907. They immediately went to Southwestern Alaska where they served for 17 years as missionaries under the Presbyterian Board and as teachers in the government Indian schools. In 1924 they moved to Trout Lake, Washington to take the Pastorate of the Presbyterian church, remaining there until his retirement in 1940.
     Following her husband's death February 26, 1941, Mrs. Good moved to McMinnville where she made her home until her passing.
     She is survived by; 4 sons, John of McMinnville; Fred of Camas, Washington; Kenneth of Carlton; Harold of Seattle, Washington; 1 brother, Henry Banks of Crawfordville, Indiana; 1 sister, Mrs. Antoinette Duncan of Claremont, California.      Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Chapel of Macy & Son, McMinnville. Interment in Trout Lake Cemetery, Trout Lake, Washington at 3:00 p.m. Thursday. Rev. C.C. Barnes officiating.

ADAH URSULA GOOD

     Funeral services were held this morning for Adah Ursula Good, 81, resident of McMinnville since 1941, who died here Tuesday, April 15, 1958.
     Born April 14, 1877 near Lavonia, Ind., she was the daughter of Alice Holland and William Banks. In 1895 she and her parents moved to Crawfordville, Ind., where she lived until her marriage to George E. Good on May 14, 1907.
     Immediately  thereafter the couple moved to Southwestern Alaska where they served for 17 years as missionaries under the Presbyterian Board and as teachers in the government Indian schools.
     In 1924 they moved to Troutlake, Wash., to take the pastorate of the Presbyterian church, remaining there until Rev. Good's retirement in 1940. Following her husband's death in February 1941, Mrs. Good moved to McMinnville and had made her home here since that time.
     She is survived by; four sons, John, McMinnville; Fred, Camas, Wash.; Kenneth, Carlton; and Harold, Seattle; one brother, Henry Banks, Crawfordville, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Antoinette Duncan, Claremont, Calif.
     Funeral services were conducted at the Chapel of Macy & Son at 10 a.m. this morning with interment at Troutlake cemetery, Troutlake, Wash., at 3 p.m. this afternoon. The Rev. C.C. Barnes officiated.

"Trout Lake Valley News Section"

     Graveside services were held for Mrs. George Good of McMinnville of Thursday at 3 P.M. Rev. John Phipps of Camas officiated. Coming for the funeral were her four sons and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Good and daughters, Janet and Nancy of McMinnville, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Good and son and daughter of Carlton, Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Good and family of Camas, Harold Good of Seattle. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pearson and Amelia of Vancouver. All these out of town people were guests for a late lunch at the Dick Lewis'.
     The Goods used to live in Trout Lake where the late Rev. George Good was pastor of the Presbyterian church for many years.

"Trout Lake"

     Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Lewis were hosts to the family and friends of the Good family on April 17 when their elderly mother was laid to rest in the Trout Lake cemetery beside the body of her husband. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Good and two daughters of McMinnville; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Good, and daughter, Camas; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Good, Carlton, Ore.; Harold Good, Seattle; Mrs. Ameila Pearson and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pearson of Vancouver, and the Rev. John Phipps of Camas who conducted the graveside services.
