ALBERT WARNER
Services for Albert Marion Warner of BZ Corners will be Sunday,
June 29, 1997, at 2 p.m. at the Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Warner died June 23, 1997, in Carson, at the age
of 83.
Mr. Warner was born March 17, 1914, in Silcott to Esther
(Taylor) and Marion Alben Warner. He married Edith A.Markgraf on July 4,
1936, in a double wedding with Max and Erma Ladiges.
He was a lifetime logger, a very active horseman and
a big trapper. He volunteered for the forest service maintaining trails and
packing into the wilderness. He was a well known dowser (water witch), an
avid hunter, and made beautiful knives for people. He was involved with many
sports groups in Klickitat County and was a member of the Washington Back
Country Horsemen and the Husum Community Church.
Mr. Warner is survived by his wife, Edith; sons James
D. Warner and wife Kathy, Woodland, as Donald R. Warner and wife Cora Lee,
Trout Lake; daughter Linda L. Teel and husband Carl, Husum; brothers Mike
Warner, Carson, Nathan Warner, Vancouver, George Warner, Randle, Richard
Warner, Portland, and Clifford Warner, Washougal; 11 grandchildren and several
great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Mr. Warner was proceeded in death by two brothers, Claude
and Donald; and two sisters Frances and Betty.
Memorials may be made to the Back Country Horsemen in
care of Gardner Funeral Home, was was in charge of the arrangements.
