AMOS LARSEN
Amos W. Larsen, a lifelong Mid-Columbia resident, died
Feb. 19 in Hood River at the age of 86.
Mr. Larsen was born March 6, 1888, in Underwood to Mr.
and Mrs. Christian Larsen. He married his wife, Shirley, in Yakima in 1928.
She preceded him in death Dec. 20, 1982.
He was a grocer, meat cutter and co-owner of L&L
Lockers, Bingen. He was a member of the Masons, the Elks, the Order of Eastern
Star, the Good Sam Club and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He was a Bingen Fire Department volunteer, a Bingen School Board member for
22 years and a Klickitat County PUD Commissioner for 18 year.
Mr. Larsen is survived by his children, Burnadine Crawford,
Olympia, Stan Larsen and Nedra Gleason, both of Bingen, and Gail Jones, Bend,
Ore.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grand children.
Services were Friday at 1 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home
in White Salmon, with the Masonic Lodge officiating. Interment was in the
Chris-Zada Cemetery, Underwood.
