BETTY MARSHALL
Betty Ann Marshall, a 35 year resident of Trout Lake,
died in Hood River Dec. 29, at the age of 67.
Mrs. Marshall was born June 18, 1921, in Gallipolis,
Ohio, to Elvira (Miller) and Fred Niday. She moved to Vancouver when she
was 16. She married her husband, Ben, on Nov. 11, 1939, in Vancouver. She
was the past president of the Emblems Club. She used to sew and do handiwork
and was active with American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by her husband, Ben, Trout
Lake; children, Joann Hanson and Jeannie Cole, both of The Dalles, Darlene
Presler, Vancouver, Linda Walker, White Salmon, and Mary Pierce, Carson;
brothers, James Niday, Portland, Bill Niday, Vancouver, and Robert Niday,
Colton, Ore.; and 16 grandchildren and eight great grand-children.
Services for Mrs. Marshall were held Saturday at 2 p.m.
at the Gardner Funeral HoMme, with Rev. Arthur Dickie officiating. Interment
was private with disposition by cremation.
