BETTY ANN SARSFIELD

     Betty Ann Sarsfield, 70, of Salem, Ore., died March 24, 1999 from colon cancer.
     She was born June 7, 1928 in Washburn, Wisc. Betty graduated from high school in Duluth, Minn. in 1946. She lived in Salem, moving to the mid-west in 1946. In the early 1950's, Betty moved to Duvall; and to Goldendale in 1973. She was employed for a short time as a bank teller, dental receptionist; and for many years she owned and operated a janitorial service.
     Betty retired in 1990. She returned to Salem in 1993.
     Betty married Ed Sarsfield Dec. 9, 1966.
     She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Betty enjoyed arranging dry flowers in baskets, cross stitch embroidery, ceramics and playing with her grandchildren.
     Survivors include her husband, Ed of Salem; one daughter, Cathy Davidson of Duvall; one son, Dennis Thomsen of Duvall; one brother, Robert Andersen of Salem; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held March 29 at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Salem. Graveside services were held at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Goldendale.
     Arrangements are under the care of Barrick Funeral Home.

     Betty Ann Sarsfield, 70, of Salem died Wednesday of colon cancer.
     Born in Washburn, Wis., she lived in Salem before moving to the midwest in 1946 where she graduated high school. In the early 1950s, she moved to Duvall, Wash., and in 1973 shed moved to Goldendale, Wash. She worked as a bank teller and dental receptionist before owning and operating a janitorial service, retiring in 1990. She moved back to Salem in 1993. She enjoyed arranging dried flowers, cross-stitch embroidery and ceramics.       
     Survivors include her husband, Ed Sarsfield of Salem; daughter, Cathy Davidson of Duvall, Wash.; son, Dennis Thomsen of Duvall, Wash.; brother, Robert Andersen of Salem; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
     Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Goldendale, Wash.
