AMEND

     Blanche B. Amend, 76, of Goldendale died June 2.
     She was born April 30, 1912 in Redmond, Ore. to Frank and Nancy Williams. She was a resident of Goldendale for the past 20 years.
     Mrs. Amend is survived by two sons: Lloyd and Larry Whitecotton of Hood River, Ore.; three daughters: Lovella Blair of Blue River, Canada, Mary Meech of Goldendale and Loretta Lavoie of The Dalles, Ore. Fourteen grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Lester Williams of Goldendale and Orville Williams of Hood River, also survive.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Cortez 'Bill' Amend, on Jan. 9, 1982.
     Graveside services were held June 8, at Holy Trinity Cemetery, with Father Seamus Kerr of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home.
